Dieback
Detection for Good is THRILLED to be a part of the fight against dieback. Detection dogs are the newest recruits to efforts to help protect our native ecosystems by preventing spread of the disease.
Human interpreters rely on visible symptoms and sample testing, which can take weeks. The dogs sniff out the pathogen itself, accelerating identification of dieback, making it cheaper and easier to rapidly clear areas, as well as making it possible for the first time to screen basic raw materials, nurseries, rehab areas, burned zones, vehicles, and more.
